I ask because I too used a set of DIY beadlocks, and the ones I (made) used welded right to the end of the wheel. This did not require the removal of the outer bead of the wheel. SInce it welded to the outer edge of the wheel, it added just over 1.5 inches to the actual wheel width.Beadlocks ordered without hardware, with Grade 8 Hardware, and with our Gen1 Bolt Protectors will ship with holes intended for 3/8" through holes.
