The firearm itself has worked great for me, no issues with any ammo I have tried (Sellier & Bellot, Blazer Brass, Winchester White Box, American Eagle, hand loads). However, the magazines have been giving me quite a bit of trouble.Another Security 9 went for repairs before ever being fired. It had problems with the slide stop. If the slide was racked with an empty magazine, the magazine then dropped out, the slide would be stuck and would not move forward until between 3 and 14 tries were made. Ruger replaced the slide stop assembly.3: Alternately, lock the slide to the rear, insert the mag and actuate the slide lock, letting the slide ram home. 4: If the problem persists, maybe some decent pics would help.
