All Adoptable Pets. All steps of the adoption process are now taking place in person for Newington. In order to best serve pets in CHS' care and to efficiently serve the community, the Waterford and Westport locations are operating on an appointment-only schedule. Adoptions for pets at these locations will begin online via online application.Adoptions are done in-person at a first come basis and any current dog (s) in the household will need to meet the potential new dog to make sure it's a good match. HSLC staff will review all applications and reserve the right to deny any application. All adopters must provide a valid photo ID and must be at least 18 years old.
